Volleyball Falls To Mission

Erik Holth, CBC Sports Information Director

Springfield, Mo. – Opening their final four-match stretch of the regular season, all of which are on the road, Central Baptist College volleyball took on the Mission University Patriots in an American Midwest Conference clash last night at W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse. CBC (8-21, 7-8 AMC) won the first set 25-23 against MU (13-17, 9-7 AMC) but dropped the final three by scores of 18-25, 17-25 and 20-25.

Aubree Ruggles led the way with 10 kills while both Madeline Freeman and Adalyn Dura had double figure assists with 14 and 10 respectively while Ava White put up a career-high 23 digs. The offensive numbers are what played the difference as CBC had 31 kills and hit .056 while Mission had 62 kills and hit .102.

CBC heads to Silverthorne Arena in Columbia, Mo., on Friday for a conference clash with Stephens. First serve will be at 6 p.m.
