Springfield, Mo. – Heading to the road for the second consecutive Tuesday, Central Baptist College men's soccer began a stretch of five straight matches against American Midwest Conference rivals tonight with a trip to Mission University to take on the Patriots. CBC (4-5-1, 2-0 AMC) got a goal in the first half and hung on to beat MU (0-10, 0-3 AMC) 1-0.
Clay Glomski netted his second goal of the season in the 17th minute on an assist from Hayes Lawrence, also his second of the season. Jasper Gadellaa made seven saves in goal, including one in the 89th minute to keep the lead. CBC also stretched their defensive scoreless minutes streak to 280 after registering a shutout for the third consecutive match.
The Mustangs return home on Saturday for another AMC match, this time against the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans. Kickoff from the Conway Soccer Complex is scheduled for 1 p.m.
