Brister to Lead Cross Country Program; Guyton Named Head Baseball Coach

Conway, Ark. – Central Baptist College Athletic Director Lyle Middleton has announced a change in leadership in the baseball program with a new head coach named for the revival of the cross country program. Dr. Aaron Brister will transition from the role of head baseball coach to the role of head cross country coach with Ryan Guyton taking the reins of the baseball program.
14 Fall Athletes Earn Daktronics Scholar Athlete Honors From The NAIA

Kansas City, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) proudly announces the 2024 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for fall sports. This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the fall sports who have excelled academically including men's cross country, men's soccer, women's cross country, women's soccer and volleyball.

Mustangs Compete At AMC Championship

Hannibal, Mo. – Competing for the final time this season, the Central Baptist College men’s cross country team was on the course for the American Midwest Conference championship today on the campus of Hannibal-LaGrange University. CBC would place seventh in the competition.
Cross Country Competes at University of the Ozarks Invitational

Clarksville, Ark. – Running for the final time before the American Midwest Conference meet next month, Central Baptist College cross country was on course today at Clarksville High School for the University of the Ozarks Invitational. Mackenzie Milligan and Bay Davis competed in the women’s event and Chris Palmer and Josh Brown ran the men’s event.
Palmer Earns Second AMC Athlete of the Week Award

St. Louis, Mo. – For the second time this season Central Baptist College cross country athlete Chris Palmer has earned American Midwest Conference runner of the week. The selection was made by the conference’s Sports Information Directors in a vote earlier today.

Fayetteville, Ark. – Running for the first time in 15 days, Central Baptist College cross country was on the course today at Agri Park for the 2024 Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival, hosted by the University of Arkansas. CBC had Chris Palmer compete in the Men’s Prairie Fire event while Lindsey Risner and Bay Davis both competed in the Women’s Prairie Fire event.

St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference announced their second cross country athlete of the week for the 2024 season today and for the first time ever a Central Baptist College runner was selected. Chris Palmer, a freshman from Greenbrier, earned the honor after posting a program record time in the Lyon Invitational this past weekend.

Batesville, Ark. – Running for the second time in less than a week, Central Baptist College cross country hit the course today for the Lyon Invitational. The event was a 5K for both men and women, with Chris Palmer competing on the men’s side and Mackenzie Milligan, Lindsay Risner and Bay Davis running for the women.
Cross Country Opens Season at UCA Bear Invitational

Conway, Ark. – Running for the first time in 2024, Central Baptist College cross country competed today at the UCA Bear Invitational at Beaverfork Lake Park. CBC had seven athletes compete between the men’s and women’s meet with six competitors crossing the finish line.

Nine Mustang Teams On NAIA Scholar Team List For 2022-23

Kansas City, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 2022-23 Scholar Teams on National Awards Day. To qualify as a Scholar Team, members of the team have to have a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year.
