Brister to Lead Cross Country Program; Guyton Named Head Baseball Coach

Conway, Ark. – Central Baptist College Athletic Director Lyle Middleton has announced a change in leadership in the baseball program with a new head coach named for the revival of the cross country program. Dr. Aaron Brister will transition from the role of head baseball coach to the role of head cross country coach with Ryan Guyton taking the reins of the baseball program.
Baseball Season Ends In Williamsburg

Williamsburg, Ky. – Looking to keep their season alive, Central Baptist College baseball took on Missouri Baptist today in an elimination game at Stigall Field. CBC (34-20) got a run in fourth inning, but MBU (40-11) knocked the Mustangs out, ending their season by a score of 9-1.
Mustangs Drop Opening Round Heartbreaker to Bryan

Williamsburg, Ky. – Competing in the NAIA Opening Round today for the first time since 2016, American Midwest Conference tournament champion Central Baptist College baseball took on the Bryan Lions today in the first game of the Williamsburg Regional at Buhl Stadium. CBC (34-19) nearly completed a comeback after trailing 6-1 after six innings before losing to BC (28-23) 8-7.

Ozark, Mo. – Competing for the third time in the American Midwest Conference Championship, Central Baptist College Baseball sought their first AMC tournament title since 2016 against the Williams Baptist Eagles. CBC (34-18) completed the run of three wins in three days, beating WBU (30-19) 12-6 to earn their second AMC tournament championship!

Ozark, Mo. – Looking for a third trip to the American Midwest Conference Tournament championship game, Central Baptist College baseball took on Williams Baptist University with a trip to the finals on the line. CBC (33-18) scored twice in the third inning and beat WBU (30-19) 2-1 to clinch a spot in tomorrow’s title game.

Springfield, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference handed out their season awards at last night’s banquet to open the Baseball championship week. 10 Central Baptist College Mustangs were amongst the selections, headlined by Aiden Jones, who was named Freshman Pitcher of the Year.

CBC (23-16, 8-4 AMC) was swept by MU (22-18, 9-3 AMC) falling by scores of 14-3 and 12-6.

CBC (22-14, 7-2 AMC) completed the sweep, jumping up early on HLGU (6-17, 1-8 AMC) before run-ruling the Trojans again, this time 12-2 in seven innings.
